Relationship between UIPE
and other engineering bodies
The UIPE maintains a database of Engineering Consulting Firms in Uganda whose partners are members of and support UIPE.
Some of these are;
Engineers Registration Board - (ERB)
The Engineers Registration Board (ERB) is a body corporate established under the Engineers Registration Act of 1969. The function of the ERB is to regulate and control engineers under activities within Uganda and to advise the Government in relation thereto.
UIPE is represented on the Board by three Engineers. All engineers practicing in Uganda are required by law to register with ERB. Membership of UIPE is one of the conditions for registration.
